Wealth of Knowledge in both Traditional Finance and Bitcoin, Bringer of Clarity

I had been seeking a CFP who understood both traditional finance (lots of options) and Bitcoin (very few options). Jim and his team bring years of experience from both worlds and have been the perfect blend of the two. At the time I switched to Intentional Living FP, I was already heavily allocated to Bitcoin. My previous CFP at Morgan Stanley just didn't have the knowledge to provide meaningful planning strategies given my Bitcoin holdings.
While seeking Bitcoin specific advice was important to me , I have recommended Jim and ILFP to others who have no interest in Bitcoin whatsoever. His team has provided excellent service to them as well. All that to say, ILFP isn't just for Bitcoiners.
I also really valued the onboarding questions/process which challenge you to honestly answer the questions of what you want money to be able to do for you and your family. It helped bring clarity to our family in a very busy season of life.

My wife and I always struggled deciding what to do with our money. Jim and his team have been everything I hoped for and more. My wife and I started working with our initial insurance / wealth management professional before we got engaged 12 years ago. We both signed up for large whole life policies. Every time we would connect with our representative (every 2-3 years) they would try to sell us some new insurance or annuity product. They never took the time to really get to know us, our nuanced goals, and/or my perspective on the broader market and approach to portfolio allocation. I had been thinking about engaging a professional money manager / fiduciary for a few years as I realized I had created quite a complex and confusion "porfolio" and knew that if something happened to me my wife would really struggle to navigate what I created. I heard Jim on The Investors podcast and immediately submitted an inquiry. Their client onboarding process forced my wife and I to really think about our financial goals and the point of all of the energy we put into our financial savings and future retirement plans. They have been true partners and have helped optimize and improve our portfiolio. Best part is I know that they are there to support my family if something happens to me. We've been working with Jim Crider and Intentional Living Financial Planning for several years. We were previously with one of the big, brand name financial planning firms when I worked for British Petroleum as they were they were connected to us as part of our 401K program. We just weren't making much and while we were told that our plan was customized for us, it was clear that this just wasn't true. We spoke to my wife's son and daughter-in-law and they introduced us to Jim and his team. Fast forward to today. Our rate of return thus far in 2025 is over 30% with his guidance. The majority of people trust reviews as much as personal recommendations, so what you write in your review should reflect your own opinion and experience.
Tips for Writing a Helpful Review
Be descriptive. Instead of just saying what you like or dislike, share why. What have you enjoyed most or least about your experience with the provider? Have they helped you overcome a difficult financial challenge or strengthened your knowledge about particular money matters? The more details, the better!
Be honest. Your rating and review should reflect your actual experience.
Stay relevant. Ensure your review is helpful to others by avoiding off-topic discussions or personal opinions not relevant to your direct experience.
Make your review easy to read. Reviews should be readable to others. Use proper grammar, avoid excessive capitalization or punctuation, and be sure to check your spelling.
Be yourself. Don’t post as, or pretend to be, someone else, and do not say you’re associated with a person or organization with which you are not.
Be nice. Don’t write abusive, hateful, threatening, or harassing content. Avoid personal threats, hate speech, obscenities, or inflammatory language.
Respect the privacy of others. Don’t post information that can be used to identify another individual or compromise their privacy.
Report abuse. Thank you for helping us ensure reviews on Wealthtender are helpful to everyone. If you suspect possible violations of our guidelines or believe a review is inappropriate, please email support@wealthtender.com with a link to the provider’s profile, indicating the review in question and the reason you believe it violates our guidelines.
